This is the Shenandoah Valley Amateur Radio Club’s biggest event of the year, drawing visitors—amateur radio operators and computer/electronics enthusiasts— from the entire mid-Atlantic region and beyond.

Gates open at 6am but club volunteers are encouraged to come earlier, especially if you’re manning the ticket gates.

The Hampton Inn N/Convention Center offers special rates for the night before the event.  Call 540-678-4000 and ask for the “Berryville Hamfest” discount. Special pricing expires 30 days before the event. The hotel address is 1204 Berryville Avenue, Winchester, VA 22601.

Berryville Hamfest Hotel Discount 2021

The deadline for getting our special discount rate of $106 at the Hampton Inn Winchester North (1204 Berryville Ave., Winchester, VA) is coming up. Your room must be booked no later than July 10, 2021, for Saturday night, August 31, the night before the event. 

This hotel is eight miles west of the Clarke County Fairgrounds where the Berryville Hamfest begins at 8am on Sunday, August 1, 2021. The drive is about 17 minutes.

Green Light for the Berryville Hamfest on August 1!

At its meeting tonight, May 6, the Shenandoah Valley Amateur Radio Club voted overwhelmingly to have the Berryville Hamfest at the Clarke County Fairgrounds in Berryville on the first Sunday in August–August 1, 2021.

Referring to the many, many inquiries SVARC has received about the Hamfest, Club President Ross Slater KE4BCN expressed the club’s excitement over this decisions, “I never realized how much this hamfest meant to other people in in the greater ham radio community other then the club itself.”

Welcome to the SVARC!

Founded in 1948, the Shenandoah Valley Amateur Radio Club, Inc. is one of the oldest established radio clubs in the U.S. We support the local A.R.E.S. (Amateur Radio Emergency Services System), and we proudly host the famous Berryville Hamfest, now in its seventh decade.
