Gary/Mick,

Nate, W4NA, checked into my 10m AM net Sunday via the new clubhouse 6400.
AM audio sounded great along with a healthy signal.

Looks like the inverted L and base fed auto tuner is doing a FB job. (Antron 99 @ 12′ used here)
The inverted L has excellent vertical pol. component and worked great
on 10m groundwave. He was heard by all check-ins to the net.
We switched to USB with excellent results.

Test on 6m USB also sounded FB. Another good test for the inverted L
and its ample vert pol for groundwave path to my 7/8 wave and mounted vert. (40m vert)

My 40m vert over a radial field works great on 40, 30,17,15 and 6m. Tuner used on 30 & 17m, but the SWR is very low on 40,15 and 6m. I can run my KW amp on 40/15 without a tuner.

I recently installed a 10m beacon at W3HTJ QTH on 28.2405 MHz.  (Callsign W3HTJ). Don is using an Antron 99 at about 10′ and running about 3-4 watts into the antenna. Take a listen for Don’s beacon.

One of our weekly check-ins to my 10m net is K4QJZ on High Knob near Front Royal. Watts uses a FLEX 6700 and has checked in to the 10m net remotely from many of his work locations before recent retirement.
Watts has owned FLEX since their initial offering and has lots of FLEX experience. He and Nate had a nice ragchew regarding FLEX operation.

Again, the SVARC 6400 sounds excellent.
