Alan was a longtime member of our club and won recognition from ARRL for his commitment to VE Testing. He was named to the ARRL VEC Volunteer Examiner Honor Role in the December 2017 QST magazine. With a total of 236 sessions, Alan was #2 in the Roanoke Division.

Steve was a beloved part of the Woodstock area ham radio community, and even though he wasn’t an SVARC member, many will remember his very interesting presentation to the club several years ago on his experience as a P-3 Orion pilot.
