  • Gate opens at 6:00 AM  •  Vendor buildings open at 8:00 AM

  • Additional $10.00 per space for tailgaters – no reservations. First come, first served.
  • Commercial and indoor tables by reservation (see vendor form download below)
  • Country ham and egg breakfast at 7am
  • Ruritan’s famous chicken and beef barbecue at 11am
  • Concessions and snack bar available
  • Grand prizes (See partial prize list above) and hourly drawings
  • County park with pool, picnic area, and playground opposite hamfest
  • Camping spaces available Saturday night – $15 – no hookups
  • There will be two persons checking QSL cards for ARRL and CQ awards at
    the ARRL table in the Ruritan building from 8 to 11 AM
  • Special 2021 hotel Hamfest rate of $106 (CLICK HERE TO BOOK) has been arranged at Hampton Inn Winchester North (1204 Berryville Ave., Winchester, VA) for reservations booked no later than July 10, 2021. Call 540-678-4000 and ask for the Berryville Hamfest Discount. This is a significant discount over their usual $130-$150 rate. You can cancel anytime up to 48 hours before arrival.

Large tailgating area with ample shade under the big oak trees. Also, electric power is available for testing purposes at various places within the tailgating area.

RURITAN FAIRGROUND RULES: NO pets, pornography, or weapons

VE Exams

Laurel Amateur Radio Club VE Team will be administering license exams (Clarke County High School, right down the road from the Fairgrounds). Walk-ins welcome. All license classes. Do You Need QSL Cards Checked for Awards?

Two persons will be checking QSL cards for ARRL and CQ awards at the ARRL table located in the Ruritan Building from 8 AM to 11 AM. Stop by, get your cards checked for credit, then work some new ones with your finds from the hamfest!

New entrance for tailgaters this year:

To handle the expected increased attendance and get cars quickly off of Route 7, there will be a separate entrance for tailgaters just past the Main Entrance as you’re headed towards Berryville.

After June 1, indoor spaces are first-come, first-served on receipt of rental fee. Vendors may set up after 2pm on Saturday afternoon, the day before the Hamfest. Late arrivals and access to vendor buildings by special arrangement with vendor coordinators, John, Elizabeth Cottrell, or Mick (See contact info below).

All vendors and tailgaters are also required to purchase a general admission ticket as well as their per space rental fee.
